Paul Drummond

A multifaceted professional with a diverse background, this individual holds degrees in English & Creative Writing, Political Science (International Relations & Law), and Education (Pedagogy). Their extensive training spans military, aviation, maritime, and safety disciplines, including USN Corpsman School, MARAD Radar Observer, and OSHA Hazardous Materials. A Vietnam veteran, they served as a U.S. Customs Agent, federal officer, and maritime captain, holding a 100-ton USCG license. Career highlights include CEO roles in maritime brokerage, freight forwarding, and technology companies, as well as stints as a commercial fisherman, boatbuilder, forest ranger, and Civil Air Patrol Mission Pilot. Beyond professional endeavors, they’ve worked as a journalist, photojournalist, editor, and musician, co-designed the Anchorage WWII Veterans Memorial, and served on the Anchorage Veterans Commission. A widower and single parent, they’ve contributed to education, government service, and creative arts, embodying resilience and dedication throughout a rich and varied life.
